Frank Scott's Glasswork
For more than 20 years, Frank Scott and his wife, Judy (also a jewelry designer), have run an art gallery, Sign of the Unicorn, in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Naturally, glass has become a major focus in their gallery and in his life. Frank’s fascination with hot glass began at a Chicago ISGB open torch session in the mid-1990s, and he’s been on the torch ever since. Frank, and his wife, Judy, co-design jewelry for their gallery featuring Frank’s unique art beads and Judy’s exquisite and detailed handwork.

Marlene Vail from Kalmbach Publishers and Frank's friend, introduced him to the group. Frank told the story of his entry into the glass bead field. Using slides, he showed his store front including an inside tour of his work space, home and display areas. Frank shared examples of his Luna Glass, lampworked beads and marbles. He also brought samples.
Two of his favorites were stored in his pockets which he passed around the room. You can see more samples of his work here and take one of his popular classes at the Bead and Button Show later this spring.
Four lucky members went home with one of his Grand Canyon series beads at the end of the evening. Kalmbach also generously donated multiple 2014 Bead & Button Show bags- fresh off the press, as well as subscriptions to their popular beading magazines.
Everyone admired his work after the presentation.
